We will be holding Church at the Mars Hill Building again next week. Sacrament will start at 11 AM. We are hoping to be back in our building the first week in November. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Also, we will have Mutual again at White Oak Park this Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Hope to see you all there!

Personal Progress

For last week's activity we met on Tuesday at the Hadaway building (our building is still under construction). Sister Johnston came and talked to us about Divine Nature. After the wonderful lesson, we wrote letters to our future husbands. We had a blast! Thanks Sister Johnston for all of your preparation!

We sing that song all the time, but do we ever stop to think about what it really means? The second verse really sticks out to me where it says: Pray, he is there, speak, he is listening. Our Heavenly Father loves us and is there for us, we just need to reach out to Him. Sometimes it's hard to believe that He is listening, but I promise you that He is. He knows your situation and He wants to help you. He loves you more than you can comprehend and all you need to do is reach out to Him.

Making Homemade Jam

For this week's Wednesday night activity, we all headed over to Sister Messick's house to make some homemade jam! We all had such a blast and it got us ready for the fall season! Sister Messick even made everyone rolls with apple butter. Enjoy the pictures!!!

As I was reading this article by Elder Robert D. Hales on Modesty, it really hit me that we need to live our lives as if the Savior were to come down today and observe us. If he came right now, would you be presentable to him? Are you dressed modestly? Is your room free of anything that you would be ashamed of? Are you living your life in accordance with Gospel Principles? Click on the word Modesty at the top and read this article. Modesty is a Gospel Principle. It is not just about wearing long dresses and skirts, although that is important. It's also about being presentable and neat and clean. Dressing your "Sunday best" at the Temple and Church Meetings. May we all be more modest in our clothing and manner of life.

Olympic Medley

This past Wednesday night activity was a blast! We all headed over to White Oak Park, just down the street from the church, and had our own little version of the Olympics! We played Frisbee, raced, played tug-of-war, and even had an egg toss. Everyone got some yummy treats too! The weather was beautiful!!! Hope you enjoy the pics!
